The babies are in the trees, but like young adults, sometimes, they still need their parents' help and support. Without even seeing them, I know exactly where these downy babies are. I can hear them, begging for a little help, from their parents; I call them "Beggers".
They will stalk their parents from tree to tree just for a little food. Finally, they come to the table, but at the table, they still beg! The worms are maybe two feet away, but they still beg their parents to gather them and feed them. When I pull out the camera, the Beggers fly away...very shy critters. But maybe I'll get lucky soon and sneak a pic.
Recently, we took a trip down to Steinhatcee, Florida. I love it there. It looks like the low country of South Carolina. Stone Crabs were in season, and over the years, we have connected with a crabber who sells them to us at a very good price. OMG!!! We rented a boat and ran down the Steinhatchee River as far as we felt comfortable. We didn't want to hear any banjo music in the background, if you know what I mean!!
Anyway, it's beautiful, and we love it. We are trying to rebuild our beachhouse in Dekle Beach that was wiped out by the "NO NAME STORM" of 1993. We were about to get started in 2004, when Ivan wiped out the downstairs of our home. So, life oes on...
I am posting some pics of crabs under the Humpback Bridge" in Dekle, and random pictures around and about here. I hope you enjoy!
Fom my back deck....
